SLOG #2
I found this week's class to be very similar to the content of computer engineering course back in high school such as logic gates and truth tables which is why I found this week's content to be easy to understand. The only difficulties I had this week was translating words into logical statements because I'm not entirely sure what some words such as 'unless' translates to symbolically. I really enjoyed learning how to negate statements and applying de Morgan's law to negating. After reviewing the slideshow a couple more times, I'm feeling a lot more confident about the materials covered this week. One of my achievements this week was learning how to translate some English phrases to logical phrases. I believe that my test in tutorial this week was fairly easy and I hope that I got perfect on it.

SLOG #1
I never learnt logic in high school so I have no experience on the topic and because I have no prior knowledge on the concept, I found it very enlightening when I first encountered the concept in CSC165. I could understand the material presented before in a way that I haven't thought of before. The change in the thought process from the way I usually think was pretty astonishing and this new way of thinking with logic instead of just common sense was very much a great experience over all. I had encountered parts of the logic but was never formally introduced to the topic until now and this new-found insight into logic has proved to be most interesting. I found being able to code such logic in the form of functions in python very interesting, I found that reading the implications behind the functions; however , challenging. I definitely feel more confident in the week one materials now that I have reviewed the slideshow a couple of times and did the tutorial exercise. The tutorial exercise was fairly straightforward and honestly much easier than I had expected the exercise to be. The quiz was also much easier than I had expected it to be. I will continue to try my best in learning the course material and practice applying the new material in the exercises,
